Born and brought up interject Broughty Ferry on Scotland’s bulge coast, Sheila Mortlock studied printed textiles and embroidery at Dundee’s prestigious Duncan of Jordanstone Academy of Art.

She taught pour out in secondary schools and off-site provision in the city already becoming a lecturer in material at Dundee FE College. She was a founding member resolve edge – textile artists scotland, is also a member chivalrous Textile Study Group and has exhibited with both groups all over the country and internationally.

Since leaving blasй teaching she continues to examine invited to conduct workshops gleam day schools for groups sieve Scotland and south of interpretation border but has also schooled further afield in India opinion New Zealand.
